The Last Metal Standing was commissioned by StuBru and developed by Mutant and nøcomputer as a digital alternative to metal gatherings that could not take place due to corona. More than 26,000 metal fans were brought together online in the largest digital moshpit ever. Everyone who voted on The Heaviest List, the annual high mass of heavier work on StuBru, received a spot in the pit via a metal avatar. With the digital moshpit, the metal community regained that unique sense of togetherness for a moment. The contest was commented on live on StuBru and is now organized annually thanks to the success of the first edition.
